Here's how they work:
Pull elastic and toggle out.
Tighten or loosen toggle to adjust the leg hole size. Snap in insert.
Fold in half.

Since trying these diapers I am hooked! I love that it is a onesize diaper that actually fits a newborn as well as my 2 1/2 year old, but my favorite part is that the cover is reusable. As opposed to Bum Genius or FuzziBunz®, where once your baby wets the diaper goes into the diaper pail, with Soft Bums you just snap in a new insert or put a fresh prefold in it. This saves you money since you don't need to buy as many diapers, plus the Soft Bums diapers work really well. I have used them at night with an extra prefold in them with no leaks. I Love the terry inserts that have a very soft fleece on top, they are very absorbant and keep my daughter's bottom dry.
